Nurse Educator, Midwest

Position Description and Responsibilities

Job Description: Vanda is seeking a Nurse Educator to build relationships with local advocacy groups, schedule presentations for members of the Advocacy organization conduct presentations and work with the logistics team (who will assure all materials are delivered on time and the logistics team will schedule Ambassadors and/or MD speakers when appropriate).

Roles and responsibilities include the following:

  • Build relationships with local, regional and national advocacy groups
  • Work with Internal Advocacy and Outreach to expand established relationships
  • Profile advocacy according to improve understanding of their needs, programs and client communications Encourage advocacy groups to hold presentations for their clients regarding Non-24 and Hetlioz®
  • Present information on disease state and symptoms to support clients desire to be diagnosed and treated for a rare disease.
  • Work with the logistic team to schedule meeting, acquire materials and work with Ambassadors or Physicians when appropriate
  • Coordinate with Case Management and other HETLIOZSolutionsā„¢ personnel to deliver a best in class experience for Opt-ins
  • Meet goals for number of programs, repeat programs, type of programs organized as well as and Opt-ins
  • Provide unsurpassed service to advocacy group as appropriate
  • Collect and communicate customer insights to inform development of effective customer education tools to enhance safe and effective use of products
  • Discover and communicate relevant customer information to support medical and commercial strategies as appropriate
  • Support commercial team at external advocacy meetings in collaboration with colleagues
  • Complete all administrative responsibilities consistent with SOPs and departmental guidelines including but not limited to required training, field activity documentation, expense reporting, and other assigned tasks
  • Participate in and successfully complete all internal education/training on SOPs, policies, and relevant products; as well as all compliance training and regulatory education relevant to pharmaceutical industry
  • Manage travel and local expenses in accordance with company policies
